While your engagement ring is meant to be worn every day, there are going to be some times when it's best to take it off to ensure it stays in the best condition possible. Whenever you're doing something that involves a messy material or physical activity, it's a good idea to take off your ring. For example, cooking, cleaning, exercising, or applying lotions, creams or hand sanitizers, are all times to set your ring in a safe place. It's also important to avoid wearing your ring when you go swimming, in the ocean or a pool, or when you use a hot tub.

We know that it can make you nervous to take your ring off and leave it somewhere, especially if you're traveling. Make sure you always have a specific, safe place to put your ring. You can put it in a hotel safe while traveling or keep a ring case in your purse and your home where you always put it. Then, you know where it should be and can put it in a secure place. How to keep it clean:

There are plenty of things you can do to take care of your ring yourself. A weekly cleaning, using the jewelry cleaner we provided with your engagement gift, does a great job. Regularly wiping your ring down with a dry gem cloth can also help avoid wear on the metal. However, one of the most important steps you can take is getting a professional cleaning from us once a year - though more is fine and every six months would be ideal!
